Tänak first leader in Argentina
Ott Tänak (Toyota) a été le plus rapide sur la route détrempée de Villa Carlos Paz qui proposait une super spéciale de 1,9km. L’Estonien a couvert le parcours en 1’58’’6 et s’est placé comme premier leader de l’épreuve avec 1’’6 d’avance sur Sébastien Ogier (Citroën). Kris Meeke (Toyota) complète le tiercé de tête devant les Hyundai d’Andreas Mikkelsen, Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo.
Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed in 7th place ahead of Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) and the Fords of Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen. Gus Greensmith (Fiesta R5) was the fastest of the WRC 2, ahead of the C3 R5 of Mads Ostberg by a second.
The crews are preparing for a difficult first stage this Friday due to the rainy weather which could favor the leaders. The day will begin at 13:08 p.m. French time with the 16,65km from Las Bajadas to Villa del Dique. THE Rally from Argentina will be followed live with our live text.
