Tänak takes over Evans in Corsica

The Hyundai de Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo are still on the lookout, with Thierry Neuville running around fifteen seconds behind the first Ford.

The Citroëns suffered again this morning, but Sébastien Ogier was able to gain time in the long Castagniccia special which offered different conditions with quite dirty roads. The champion WRC in title was thus able to take 5th place with 24 seconds ahead of Teemu Suninen (M-Sport).

Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) remains isolated in 7th place while maintaining a comfortable lead over Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) made a mistake on SS9 at Castagniccia, ending up in a ditch. The nine-time WRC champion remains ahead of Kris Meeke (Toyota) who has taken over his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala.

Fabio Andolfi (Skoda) finds himself leading WRC 2 with half a minute ahead of Éric Camilli (Volkswagen) who stopped in the last special. With Yoann Bonato (Citroën) having dismounted, Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda) completes the provisional podium.

The second passage of the second stage of the Tour de Corse should begin at 14:38 p.m. The event can be followed live with our live text.
