Thierry Neuville attacked as much as possible

For the third stage of Rally from Sweden, the Belgian Thierry Neuville had chosen a different tire strategy compared to its rivals. Taking advantage of two new tires for the last pass through Vargasen, and a constant attack in his own words, the driver Hyundai managed to climb to the head of the rally for 1″5 ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen’s Volkswagen Polo who had dominated this third stage until then. Before the last stage which promises an intense three-way match with Sébastien Ogier, Neuville says he is ready.

“It’s a really good day for us and it’s a fantastic feeling to be rally leader. I pushed hard today and really enjoyed the stages. I don't think I've ever felt this good behind the wheel of the Hyundai i20 WRC. We made a good choice of tires today and I was happy with our level of performance. We won some stages and, on the second pass of the day through Vargasen, I made a fantastic jump at Colin’s Crest (44m). It was a close battle throughout the rally and my goal for tomorrow is, of course, to maintain my position, but it's close so we have to see what tomorrow brings. I'm ready for this. » explains the Hyundai driver.
