Thierry Neuville dominated the 3,48 km Shakedown of the Rally de Sardaigne 2022. Le Belge de Hyundai a signé le meilleur temps lors de son troisième passage en 2:15.4. Il a devancé les Toyota d’Esapekka Lappi et Elfyn Evans. “It’s a word (the grip. Editor’s note) which we will use a lot this weekend. The grip is very different in places and the choice of tires is very important. It won’t be a very easy weekend but we love this event”, reacted Neuville after this successful introduction.
Paul-Louis Loubet took fourth place this morning on the Italian dirt roads. “It was really slippery I was a little surprised by that, we will try to do our best and have a faultless round”, a jugé le Français de M-Sport. Son coéquipier et compatriote Adrien fourmaux ranks ninth. “The feeling is very nice. It’s always a difficult rally for everyone and for the cars, it’s a good challenge”, believes the person concerned.
The first special will start at 18:08 p.m., with 3,23 kilometers to cover between Olbia Cabbu and Abbas.
