Thierry Neuville did not feel ready

Thierry Neuville declared himself happy not to be one of the drivers considered to be Mikko Hirvonen's teammate at Citroën next year. The Belgian driver does not in fact feel ready to play such a role.

At 24 years old, and already a full season in WRC with the DS3, Thierry Neuville could have been one of the drivers considered by Yves Matton to support Mikko Hirvonen in 2013. The boss of Citroën Racing, Yves Matton, however seems more interested in Dani Sordo or Mads Östberg. A situation that does not displease the Belgian: “We had a good season based on our performances, but sometimes we were unlucky, sometimes we made mistakes. We have learned a lot this year, things that we wouldn't imagine, because they have never happened to us before. We still need another year to become more confident. We are working hard on the program, it seems to be going well at the moment, but I don't know for how many rounds. »

Thierry Neuville distinguished himself this season by taking seventh place in the driver's championship this season and finishing fourth in the Rally of France.
