Top 5 of the most beautiful decorations by Thierry Neuville

Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul announced Tuesday their return to the Legend Boucles de Bastogne (Belgium, February 2-4) aboard an astonishing Opel Corsa A, one year after his victory in a Porsche 911 Carrera RS. This is not the first time that the Belgian duo has started a rally aboard a colorfully decorated vehicle. Here is proof in five images.

By joining the Junior Team of the chevron brand, Thierry Neuville logically inherits a copy and paste of the decoration of the official DS3s. Only upon closer inspection, some slight alterations have been made; the boundaries between each color are made using splashes, giving a “fun” result to the whole. On board, Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul finished 7th overall, with a 4th place in the Alsace rally.

4. The Opel Corsa A, Legend Boucles 2018

It’s certainly not the fastest rally car, but it brings back fond memories for its crew. It is in this Opel that Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul began their competitive history in 2007, through various hill climbs and regional rallies. The private partners of the 2017 WRC runners-up supported the refurbishment project for the historic Legend Boucles rally.

3. The Hyundai i20 R5 “Emojis”, Ypres 2017

The advantage of such a decoration is that it does not leave you indifferent! On the occasion of the 2017 Ypres Rally, Hyundai Belgium is launching a marketing operation. The goal : allow children to draw colors of the i20 sedan in its R5 version. Among the hundred proposals received, it was the emojis of Zoé, 8 years old, which were chosen by Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul.

2. The Peugeot 207 H2000 2011

With its predominantly yellow paint, roadside spectators did not have to wonder about the identity of the crew. During the 2011 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) season, the Belgium-Luxembourg branch of Peugeot Sport entered a 207 S2000 for Thierry Neuville (note the colors of the Belgian and Luxembourg flags on the sides). He signs two victories, but above all becomes the best representative of Lion in the discipline, facing big names like Guy Wilks or Bryan Bouffier.

Among all the cars driven by Thierry Neuville in the WRC, the 2017 version was (for the moment) the most beautiful. With four rallies won (France, Argentina, Poland and Australia), there’s plenty! In addition to sporting performances, the South Korean's look has become more aggressive. The overhaul of the WRC regulations made it possible to rediscover this Group B flavor, with widened wings and various aerodynamic appendages on the sides of the car.
