After Hyundai Motorsport et Citroën Racing, it is the turn of Toyota Gazoo Racing de présenter officiellement sa Yaris WRC which will mark the Japanese manufacturer's return to the World Rally Championship in 2017 with Tommi Mäkinen at the head of the team. The presentation also took place at the Paris Motor Show.
In accordance with the new regulations which will offer more performance and downforce, the Japanese car sports wide wings and a prominent rear wing.
Toyota also announced its partnership with computer company Microsoft. The Asian manufacturer will benefit from the American firm's technologies in data analysis and information sharing within the team. DMG Mori, Panasonic and Michelin will also be partners.
On the other hand, Toyota has not yet confirmed its crews for next year even if Juho Hänninen and Esapekka Lappi are expected to start.
