The mixed experience lived by Sébastien Ogier in Portugal for his debut with the Yaris hybrid on gravel has not encouraged him to reduce his program in 2022. He still intends to line up for another 3 or 4 races between now and the end of the season among including the Safari (June 23-26).
Absent en Sardaigne (2-5 juin) où il laissera sa Yaris à Esapekka Lappi, le 2e pigiste de Toyota en WRC this year, Sébastien Ogier will perform his return at the end of the month and this 15 days after only his first participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Richard Mille Racing Team in LMP2.

During his participation in the event last year, the Haut-Alpin appreciated this trip. Winner of the Safari for his first time there, he had often hinted that he would be interested in returning there in order to immerse himself a little more in Kenya while competing in a round whose profile and specificities appealed to him. With last year's winner, championship leader Kalle Rovanperä and a still strong Elfyn Evans, Toyota Gazoo Racing will once again be the team to beat. The next announcement which is highly anticipated is that of the arrival of Sébastien Loeb and Isabelle Galmiche in Naivasha. To be continued…
Concerning the Safari, this 2022 edition, the 2nd since the return of the event to the calendar last year, will be contested over 19 special stages for a total of 365 timed km.
