In 2021, for its first entry in the World Rally Championship, Alain Penasse's team surprised by dividing their route in two. While the first two days were planned near the city of cats, Sunday's day took place on the Spa Francorchamps circuit at the end of a very long connection. This relocation will not be renewed this season for Ypres' second participation in the competition. The other important modification will be the moving of the shakedown to Thursday evening instead of Friday morning, which will lead to the elimination of night passages during the first stage where 8 SS, some of which have already been seen in 2021, will be contested. Saturday's breakdown will be very classic with a loop of 4 well-known special stages (Reninge, Dikkebus or Hollebeke) to be completed twice. The major change will affect Sunday around Ypres. It will be made up of two iconic sections, Watou and Kemmelberg, the latter serving as a Power Stage. In total, the 20 ES represent a total of 281,58 km timed.
