Tuthill confirms its presence in the R-GT Cup

We knew that Francois Delecour would be well engaged in the opening event of the WRC 2015, at the Monte-Carlo Rally from January 22 to 25. This Thursday, the British Tuthill stable confirmed that the 52-year-old French driver will take part in the remaining four rounds of the FIA R-GT Cup: le Rally of Germany in the World Cup, as well as two rounds counting towards the European Rally Championship ERC : Ypres in Belgium and the Tour de Corse, Valais in Switzerland are also part of the calendar.

“It’s fantastic to drive in the R-GT Cup, it’s a fantastic opportunity, admits the 1993 world vice-champion. There are some really nice rallies, but for sure Monte Carlo will be the most difficult. It's fantastic to drive the Porsche 911 from Tuthill. You know, Monte-Carlo is my rally, and being here in a Porsche is a dream for me. » Delecour won the Monaco classic in 1994 at the wheel of a Ford Escort Cosworth.

“From the outset, we have been enthusiastic supporters of the R-GT concept, which sees some of the most evocative sports cars once again become eligible for international rallying,
explains Richard Tuthill, owner of the stable. Our car has proven to be both fast and sturdy in its outings to date, as well as very cost effective to run. I would like to thank François for his commitment to the Tuthill Porsche team and to its long-standing sponsors, Visit Romania, for their enthusiastic support. It is an honor for us to compete with François and the Rallye Monte-Carlo is the ideal place to start. »
