A five-round calendar for the Junior WRC

Series that allowed Sébastien Loeb to sign his first international successes, the Junior WRC continues its discovery of new talents in rally in 2021, still via the Ford Fiesta Rally4 developed by M-Sport.

Croatia, Portugal, Estonia, Belgium and Spain will make up the rounds of the season, for an ideal mix between asphalt and dirt. Note that there will be no snow this year, with the Arctic Rally scheduled to take place next month.

However, drivers will be able to discover two new events with Croatia and Belgium, which will also be on the menu for WRC competitors.

“I think all five rounds will require multiple skills to master, which is very important for the championship to rigorously test all of our drivers and find out who really has real talent,” emphasizes series manager Maciej Woda.

No two rounds are the same, which is an exciting prospect and should really shake things up for the championship. We have worked very hard with the FIA and the WRC promoter to ensure that the calendar is sufficiently spaced out to help crews prepare for each event and to leave a reasonable gap to the final round of the 2020 championship.

Normally, the Junior WRC ends in September or October and gives the championship and crews sufficient time to prepare and confirm plans for the following season.

After speaking with all interested crews and in view of the late end of the 2020 season, we made sure to give interested crews the necessary time to put their program in place. »
