A logo tribute to Malcolm Wilson on the Ford Fiesta

Lancée en 1979 sous le nom Malcolm Wilson Motorsport, l’actuelle M-Sport célèbre cette année ses 40 ans en compétition. A l’occasion du Rally of Finland this weekend, a logo paying tribute to this anniversary will be affixed to Ford Fiestas WRC by Teemu Suninen and Gus Greensmith.

Associated with Ford since 1997, both in terms of operation and development of cars entered in the World Rally Championship, the Dovenby Hall team allowed the blue oval manufacturer to return to the world title in 2006 and 2007, before Ford officially withdrew in late 2012.

Nothing to prevent Malcolm Wilson and his troops from privately becoming world champion in 2017 with Sébastien Ogier, battant ainsi les armadas Hyundai, Citroën and Toyota.

“When I started Malcolm Wilson Motorsport, I never imagined it would become what it is today, admits the British boss. Likewise, when the company became M-Sport and we moved to Dovenby Hall, I never thought we would grow any further.

We now have state-of-the-art facilities in Krakow and are in the process of building the M-Sport Evaluation Centre, which will provide a unique center of excellence for technical design and development. It's truly moving to see all the success we've had over the past 40 years and the growth of the company.

But none of it would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of everyone on the team who has come through the doors of M-Sport and Malcolm Wilson Motorsport. The company is fortunate to have fantastic people and it is these people who have made this success possible. I would like to thank each of them. »

M-Sport has also been involved alongside Bentley Motorsport on the Continental GT3 program since 2012.
