Still according to this daily, the Irish government is actively seeking a budget of 15 million euros to sign a three-year contract with WRC Promoter. The Irish Rally has already taken place twice in the WRC, in 2007 and 2009. Each time, Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) won.
“We won't have good news until we sign a contract, but no questions have been raised about our proposal by the government, which is a good thing”, believes Arden Harper.
