A program of ten rallies for Stéphane Lefebvre

After a triumphant season in the Junior category both on the European and world stage, the French Stéphane Lefebvre will have the opportunity to take a new step in 2015. With ten World Championship rallies on his program, the 22-year-old driver will benefit from an extensive program thanks to Citroën Racing. In addition of the six events in WRC-2 on a DS3 R5 (as a reward for his Junior WRC trophy), Lefebvre will compete in four additional rallies, including at least two on a Citroën DS3 WRC.

“I gave myself two years to win the FIA ​​Junior WRC,” recalls the driver, supported among others by Red Bull. I knew that discovering the World Championship would be a major challenge. The tests require a lot of experience. It wasn't easy, but we managed to perform very well while avoiding mistakes. I maintain the same objective in 2015. After two tests with the DS 3 R5 in Spain and Great Britain, we will work a lot to progress and prepare for the transition to the DS 3 WRC. I am very happy that Citroën Racing trusts me. Yves Matton and his team are very close to the drivers. It is also an asset to be able to learn in a team that has already won eight World Champion titles. »

For Yves Matton, boss of Citroën Racing, the continuity of support for the young Frenchman was logical. “Stéphane Lefebvre had a very good 2014 season with the DS 3 R3. It is logical that we support it in its progression with the DS 3 R5. He still has to learn and we will do everything we can to help him take the next step towards the elite. »
