A Ford Fiesta RS WRC for Mads Østberg

Little by little, the field for the 2011 World Rally Championship is taking shape. If there are still some doubts regarding the mounts that certain drivers will benefit from, Mads Østberg has already found the right fit for him.

The car will be entered by Adapta Motorsport, which will work in collaboration with Malcom Wilson's team.

“I really enjoyed driving the Ford Fiesta S2000 in France and Germany, and I am very pleased to be offered this opportunity to drive the new Fiesta next year. explains the 23-year-old pilot. I know that the competition will be very strong next year, so I am very happy to have reached this agreement between M-Sport and Adapta now. Working with a big team like M-Sport is a bit new for me, but I found them very professional and very welcoming. I am therefore delighted by this agreement and now look forward to next season.”

It is certain that the Subaru from another era that he was driving this season in the WRC did not allow him to assert himself at the highest level, and to try to get involved as much as possible in the fight between the leading cars. Mads Østberg will therefore reach a new level, as explained by Morten Østberg, his father, the Director of Adapta Motorsport.

“It is a logical step for Mads in view of 2011, concedes the latter. We have a good feeling with the Ford Fiesta S2000 after the Rally from France, and we want to build a real relationship with M-Sport in the future to help develop our team in the Scandinavian market.

Mads Østberg will always have the notes dictated by the Swede Jonas Andresson. At a time when more upscale drivers like Petter Solberg and Dani Sordo still don't know precisely what 2011 will bring, the young Norwegian already knows his program. Next season will undoubtedly be one of challenges for him. Will he manage to prove to the specialists in the discipline that he has the talent to join the fight for the podium?
