Velby to debut at Monza

S’il a participé à des shakedown de pré-évènement sur la piste d’essai de Hyundai ces dernières années, Ole Christian Veiby n’a jamais eu l’opportunité de faire un week-end complet dans la cour des grands. Ce n’est désormais plus qu’une question de jours.

In Monza for the season finale (December 3-6), the Norwegian will take part in the first round WRC of her career. He will drive the Hyundai i20 WRC used so far by Frenchman Pierre-Louis Loubet in Estonia, Turkey and Sardinia in recent months. Jonas Andersson will be his co-driver during the Lombard round at the end of the year.

I hope we can do a few tests to prepare for this event, but my work done beforehand with the official Hyundai i20 WRCs allows me to know the car reasonably well even if I have no experience with it in competition. ».

Ole Christian Velby is currently fourth in WRC2. His best results are second place in Sweden and Italy. Before rally from Monza, the Norwegian will take part in the Kehala Rally in Estonia at the wheel of an i20 R5.
