Volkswagen Motorsport presents its Polo GTI R5

A few days after realizing his first tests based in Fontjoncouse (Aude), the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 was officially unveiled this Monday in Mallorca, Spain. The latest from Wolfsburg is due to make its debut in the fall of 2018 after approval scheduled for the summer. The first deliveries will begin in the second half of the year.

After abandoning the WRC, the German firm had refocused on customer competition, notably with the TCR, but had quickly displayed its ambitions to develop an R5, which can be entered both in WRC (via the WRC-2 in particular), and in ERC, or even in the national championships.
