VW in WRC, with Ogier rather than Loeb

Last week, as part of the Rally of Turkey, VW announced its return to the world rally championship in 2013, with the Polo R. If for the moment no name of driver has been put forward, many people are wondering if Sébastien Loeb, after having won seven world crowns with Citroën, would be tempted by a new challenge. In AUTOhebdo, the director of Volkswagen Motorsport provides part of the answer.

“He (Loeb, editor’s note) is one of the best of all time, but he was also served by a fantastic team, underlines Kris Nissen in the columns of AUTOhebdo. Our goal is to be world champion in 2015. Where will it be then? Perhaps it is more appropriate for us to think about Ogier, who is the youngest among today's best drivers? »

Discover in your AUTO magazinehebdo, on newsstands currently, a special file on the arrival of Volkswagen in WRC.
