Wilson believes in Hirvonen

Despite Sébastien's world champion title Loeb after the Rally from Great Britain, Malcolm Wilson believes in Mikko Hirvonen. The Ford team boss remains convinced of the talent of the Finn, who had a masterful season, punctuated by eleven podiums, including four victories, in twelve Rallies.

« He did an incredible job this year, Wilson told wrc. Com. The way he reversed the trend by erasing a twenty-point deficit to lead the championship before the last round was stupendous. Sébastien said it was his most difficult championship. I don't remember a championship that was played for one point. Mikko showed that he is a leader for the team »

Beyond this season, the Ford team boss thinks that the Finn will be able to do even better next season. “ I know he will come back even stronger. Look at his career, he has always progressed. I know he is injured and I feel sorry for him but I know he will come back to play for the title in 2010. We are confident that he will lead our team to greater things in the future. »
