Wilson: “My priority is to secure the future of M-Sport”

Do you feel like you are experiencing an exceptional moment in your career?

After Latvala's last victory at the end of 2012, we didn't win a race for four years. And yet, the motivation and passion remained intact. Not only for me, but also for all members of M-Sport. I realize that this season is very different from previous ones. We are back on the path to success and are well placed to win both championships…

Sébastien Ogier mentioned that if he stayed at M-Sport in 2018, certain points would have to be improved. Can you tell us which ones?

I don't know exactly what he means... I too think that certain things need to be improved. I am not satisfied with my trucks nor with my structure in the service park. But I'd rather put all the money on the Fiesta. In 2017, I decided to invest a lot in Sébastien to allow him to aim for the title. But, I won't be able to continue like this next year...

Rumors circulated in Germany. In the perspective where Ogier and Thank you would be poached by competing teams, do you already have contact with other drivers?

I would like to keep my three crews next year. We undoubtedly have the best team at this level. But I'm not sure I'll succeed because the decision doesn't belong to me alone...
