WRC – Bouffier on the way to the feat in Monte-Carlo

Bryan Bouffier failed to maintain the lead Rally Monte-Carlo following a spin which occurred on SS9 at Vitrolles-Faye. If Sébastien Ogier took the opportunity to take control of the event with almost a minute in advance before starting the last stage, the private pilot M-Sport remained in second place with a good lead over the Citroëns of Kris Meeke and Mads Ostberg. Something to doubt Hyundai who has not made his former test driver official while the i20 WRC de Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo dropped out on the first day.

“I’m excited about this rally so far,” comments Bryan Bouffier, winner of the 71st edition of the event contested in the IRC Series in 2011 at the wheel of a Peugeot 207 S2000. “Given the conditions and after this spin, we are happy to still be in such a good position. It will be interesting with the snow in the last stage. Today's stages are very narrow and anything can happen when conditions get complicated. We have already seen how quickly hierarchy can evolve. But our main objective remains to maintain this position, by not doing anything stupid, and to reach the finish without incident. »
