WRC – Dumas liked the experience at Monte-Carlo

“I expected a difficult rally and it was. The numerous problems encountered by everyone confirm this,” commented Romain Dumas after the finish. “Many parameters were new to me, as well as to the team. This was our first Monte-Carlo and the experience here is particularly important. We had a deficit at this level. We tried to fill it as much as possible. Some stages were more complicated than others. When they got closer to what we knew, we showed that we were competitive. »

After discovering the Dakar at the start of the year, Romain Dumas was able to experience the legendary Monegasque event. The winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010 does not seem opposed to returning to race in the Principality. “It was essential for us to take this experience with a view to future participation. The overall results are satisfactory even if I am still aiming for victory. We know where we can improve and we will work in this direction. Participating in the Monte-Carlo immediately after the Dakar was a daring bet! Doing it with a Porsche made it even more daring, but I don't regret it. I think people enjoyed seeing Porsches again at Monte-Carlo and I hope that will be the case again in the future. »

Romain Dumas will now be able to concentrate on his program in WEC with Porsche. The season will begin at Silverstone (Great Britain) on April 12.
