WRC – Elfyn Evans hoped for more in Monte-Carlo

Elfyn Evans may spend some time thinking about her mistake in the third stage of Rally Monte Carlo. The pilot M-Sport occupied fifth place ahead of the Hyundais of Dani Sordo and Thierry Neuville before falling to seventh after damaging his suspension in Sisteron-Thoard (SS12).

“We had the potential to do better, but I made a few mistakes and one of them cost me dearly.”, explained Elfyn Evans after the finish of the Monte-Carlo Rally. “We made some very good choices on the tires but some could still have been better, which proves that we still have things to learn. »

Elfyn Evans still showed promising performances since the Welshman only competed its second full season in WRC. The M-Sport driver had already highlighted himself last year by taking sixth place on the Rock. “The performances were good and that’s a real positive to take from this weekend. We can also see what went wrong and I can’t wait to come back here next year.”, added the Welshman.
