Can Huttunen be heard in Finland?
Finland is a country of rally. You just have to see the enthusiasm on the edge of the special stages, year after year, and look at the prize lists to be convinced. However, we should not believe that all Nordics have the talent necessary to rise to the highest level... and then stay there. The failure rate is significant and it is not for nothing that the last world title for this nation dates back to 2002 with Marcus Grönholm.
A true institution in Finland, the sleeve WRC a souvent été le théâtre d’opérations ponctuelles chargées de lancer ou relancer une carrière. En 1994, alors qu’il végétait et envisageait de repartir vers sa ferme et son tracteur, Tommi Mäkinen y avait remporté sa première victoire à ce niveau durant son unique course sur une Ford Gr. A !
