No respite for the men of Hyundai WRT. The team from Alzenau (Germany) achieved this week a four-day test session in Ardèche (Rhône-Alpes) with Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo in order to prepare the i20 WRC au Rally Monte Carlo played in seven weeks, from January 22 to 25. The team will also carry out a new test session this month ahead of the Swedish Rally scheduled for the weekend of February 15.
“We had a productive two days in the car staying active in preparation for the new season,” commented Thierry Neuville. “I feel comfortable and I’m getting faster and faster. It is important for us to prepare for 2015 as early as possible.”
Team Principal Michel Nandan wants at all costs to collect more data on the i20 WRCs in these conditions, the Monte-Carlo Rally being particularly unpredictable. “The objective was to observe the behavior of the latest version of the i20 WRC on asphalt and soon on snow. We must continue to work on our preparation despite the year of learning behind us. Thierry and Dani will be there again for the four days of testing in Sweden in mid-December. »
