M-Sport gave a nod to the past with the new livery of its Fiesta RS WRC piloted by Elfyn Evans and Ott Tänak. The British structure wanted to pay homage to Ford's presence in the discipline since 1973 and opted for colors reminiscent of Hannu Mikkola's Escort RS 1800 MKII in 1980 and Colin McRae's Sierra RS Cosworth in 1989.
“We wanted something new and exciting while paying homage to Ford’s long and prestigious WRC history when we designed this new livery”, commented Malcolm Wilson, director of M-Sport. “Throughout history, Ford has produced some of the most beautiful liveries that have since become famous around the world. It’s fantastic to see some of these aspects again on our car from the 2015 season.”
