WRC – Romain Dumas’ Porsche 911 at the German Rally

Romain Dumas will take over the wheel of sa Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0l for the Rally from germany disputed from August 20 to 23 which he will discover. He will be able to count on Denis Giraudet as co-pilot. The winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010, who drove his mount for the last time at the Ypres Rally (Belgium) last June, was able to discover in issue 2024 of AUTOhebdo, available since Monday in digital version and from tomorrow on newsstands, the special livery of his car which will mark its 20 years of competition.

The front bumper pays homage to his first success at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2003 with Freisinger Motorsport. The roof recalls its second success in the Belgian Ardennes acquired in 2010 with the BMS Team Italy. The front hood features the historic colors of Team Manthey with whom it won 4 victories at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring (2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011).

The left side is a direct link to the Porsche RS Spyder. The rear wing will pay homage to Team Penske with which he won in 2006 at Mid-Ohio and at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2008 while winning two ALMS titles in 2007 and 2008. The left door takes on the Muscle colors Milk Pickett Racing with whom he won at Mosport in 2010 with the RS Spyder, for what was the last victory in the LM P1 made in Weissach. The one on the right recalls his victory in the “Open” category at Pikes Peak in 2012. The rear part directly refers to the 911 RSR with which he won at Le Mans in 2013 in the GTE Pro category.
