WRC – Latvala: Avoid the slightest mistake to beat Ogier

With nine victories for Sébastien Ogier in 2013 compared to just one for Jari-Matti Latvala in Rally from the Acropolis, the Finn finds it difficult to compare with the new world champion of WRC. If the Frenchman left with an advantage by actively participating in the development of the Volkswagen Polo R WRC, the Scandinavian will have no more excuses this year after having competed in all 13 rounds of the Championship last year.

Jari-Matti Latvala believes he will be able to improve his performances this season if he manages to achieve the goals he has set for himself. “I need more regularity”, underlines the Finn on Crash.net. “It took me longer than I expected to get in tune with the car, but I now feel much more comfortable behind the wheel than I did 12 months ago. However, I will have to be consistent and not make the slightest mistake even if it is small if I want to catch Sébastien (Ogier). Seb's strength is a mixture of speed and perfection: he doesn't make mistakes. If I want to get on his level, or beat him, I'm going to have to avoid mistakes. »
