WRC – Latvala: The Fiesta made progress in Greece

Jari-Matti Latvala has already reached the podium at rally of the Acropolis in 2009, but the Finn was never able to win on this particularly difficult rally. The two days of testing carried out by Ford were therefore very useful in refining the set-up of the Fiesta RS WRC. The Ford driver is optimistic and eager to get back behind the wheel after missing Rally Argentina. “We worked and progressed with the suspension, the car behaves much better in these conditions”, assures the Ford driver. “After going so long without getting behind the wheel, I am happy to be back with all my abilities regained. »

However, the Finn is expecting a difficult event with a long course where he will not have to relax if he does not want to continue his series of retirements. “It will be a difficult rally and Saturday will be particularly delicate. It is longer than last year, including two passages in a new 21km special. It will also be hard on the tires with the heat, it will be important to keep them as that could be the biggest factor. You can ride at 95% in these conditions but being at 100% could be risky. »
