WRC – Rally Sweden will be shortened

Le Rally of Sweden is maintained but its route will be shortened due to the lack of snow on certain special stages. The organizers have decided to postpone the recognitions by one day, which will begin this Wednesday, February 10. The shakedown has been canceled.

The Scandinavian event will only have 13 special stages while 21 were on the program. The Karlstad super special (1,9 km) which was to open the rally was canceled, as well as the Kirkenaer route (7,07 km) from the first stage. The second day will also be reduced with the cancellation of the Hagfors Sprint super special (1,87 km). The first crossing at Rämmen (22,76 km) and the second at Fredriksberg (18,19 km) will also be removed. The final stage will only include a passage through the stages of Lesjöfors (15 km) and Värmullsasen (15,87 km). The Historic Rally has also been canceled.

THEERC was also a victim of the mild weather prevailing in northern Europe since organizers had to postpone the Latvia Rally.
