WRC – Ogier plans to take his revenge in Sardinia

After losing to his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala in the regular Rally from Argentina, Sébastien Ogier intends to respond this week in Sardinia which will offer the crews the opportunity to face the fourth consecutive event on gravel after Mexico, Portugal and Argentina. His position as leader of the Championship will still force him to open the road during the first stage, but the reigning world champion still appears confident about his chances of victory after having already won on this terrain last year .

“I can’t wait to compete in the Sardinia Rally after tackling the particularly muddy and complicated stages in Argentina”, comments Sébastien Ogier who still has a 29-point lead over his Finnish rival. “Fast dirt roads suit my riding style much better. The first stage on Friday could still be complicated for Julien (Ingrassia, his co-driver) and me because we will still open the road on soft dirt courses, but I still believe that we have a good chance of winning. I have always felt very comfortable in Sardinia. My main opponent will still be Jari-Matti Latvala and I can already promise the spectators as well as Jari-Matti that we will have an exciting and spectacular duel. »
