The fight between the two Volkswagen drivers nevertheless continued during the other two stages. “The second day went well. I made a better choice of tires than Jari (harder compounds) even if it was not perfect. We had difficulty predicting the weather. I managed to maintain my lead but it wasn't fun. Jari was fast and I had to maintain a high pace. »

While Volkswagen celebrates its Manufacturers' title, Sébastien Ogier turns to the Drivers' ranking and hopes to win the title during his national event held in Alsace from October 3 to 5. The reigning world champion will only need to score six more points against his Finnish rival to retain his crown. “We can celebrate the Manufacturers’ title, but this weekend is also a big step towards the Drivers’ title for me.
