WRC – Ostberg: “I couldn’t avoid the shock”

Mads Ostberg had an accident at the end of the first day of reconnaissance where he was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo with his co-driver Jonas Andersson. The Norwegian hit a vehicle and damaged his car (photo) which suffered significant damage, but the crew is safe.

“We had an accident today”, confirmed the Citroën driver on Facebook page. “We came across a truck on the last stage. The road was too narrow and I couldn't avoid the impact. We were taken to the hospital center. We are fine, we have no serious injuries,” reassured Mads Ostberg.

Mads Ostberg will be able to compete in the second day of reconnaissance of the event.
