The Norwegian will use his experience in the Italian gravel specials by taking advantage of the skills of his new team. “It’s a test that works pretty well for me”, assures the Scandinavian. “I have good memories there. It is a very technical course with different levels of grip depending on the passages. Note-taking is particularly important. You have to be able to change your pace when the nature of the stages changes. »

Mads Ostberg was able to carry out a test session on site to optimize the settings of his Citroën DS3 WRC who will still have a hard time facing the Volkswagen Polo R WRC who have been undefeated for nine events. “We have found solutions that will allow us to be even more competitive in this type of terrain,” adds the new recruit of the Reds. “I know we can perform well in Sardinia and I have good experience of the event. So I'm going to attack a little more from the start to try to play at the forefront. The goal is always to be on the podium at the finish, but I aim to compete with the leaders. »
