WRC – Rally Portugal: the program of the 15 special stages

The World Rally Championship (WRC) resumes its rights this Thursday with the rally from Portugal, more than a month later the last test in Mexico. Just like last time, the competitors have an event on land. But the comparison stops here! Indeed, the Lusitanian round is judged by the various players in the WRC as much more standard compared to the previous one as well as the very atypical rallies of Sweden and Monte-Carlo which opened the season.

Unlike the 2012 edition, 15 special stages will section the 386,73 km of timed sections, when there were 22 the previous year. A sublime finale can be expected on Sunday evening, with a 52,30 km Power Stage. Furthermore, the weather will need to be monitored because it could give rise to Dantean conditions, as was the case last year. Conditions that Sébastien Ogier fears, the Volkswagen driver leader of the Drivers' classification and already twice winner here and who intends to score a first hat-trick in an event. Mads Ostberg and his Ford Fiesta RS WRC from Qatar M-Sport WRT will do everything to prevent it, he who had offered himself the first victory of his career at the highest level here last year.
