A tough day awaits the competitors in the World Rally Championship (WRC) this Sunday July 17. Six special stages of Rally of Estonia are scheduled from 5:48 a.m. French time. Follow the event on our live text.

How to overcome Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) ? Already this question has not yet been answered regarding this 2022 season of the World Rally Championship (WRC), the perfect day experienced by the Finn this Saturday July 16 at the Estonian Rally adds a dose of difficulty in resolving the problem.
Indeed, the leader of the Drivers' Championship has won 10 of the 18 special stages contested so far in Estonia. Kalle Rovanperä took advantage of this Saturday stage to increase his lead to half a minute over his teammate from Toyota Gazoo Racing, Elfyn Evans.
The two men left the hunting group, led by the Hyundai i20 N hybridOtt Tänak et Thierry Neuville. The afternoon was calming, as the gaps were so large between each competitor. Barring any incidents, the Estonian should get on the podium in front of his supporters, with the Belgian showing a deficit of more than a minute.
Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) overran a Adrien fourmaux (M-Spot Ford) intentionally cautious. The Frenchman is aiming to score points after several difficult rallies in the first part of the season and Malcolm Wilson would like his drivers to see the finish on Sunday lunchtime. Pierre-Louis Loubet and Gus Greensmith are rejected at the bottom of the top 10 and Craig Breen no longer has any role to play in the general ranking.
The major event of this day concerns Esapekka Lappi (Toyota). The Finn conceded his fourth position late in the morning due to a loose tire landing from a jump, and slipped to seventh.
In WRC2, a driving error by Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) allowed Teemu Suninen to close to around ten seconds. The third and final stage of the Rally Estonia will begin at dawn on Sunday, at 5:48 a.m. French time.
