WRC – Stéphane Lefebvre will return to DS3 WRC at the Tour de Corse

Stéphane Lefebvre will be back on a DS3 WRC at the Tour de Corse contested from October 1 to 4. The Frenchman scored important points at Citroën Racing by placing 10th in the Rally from Germany where he drove a car in the premier category of the discipline for the first time in competition.

“Stéphane delivered the performance we expected of him, and I would even say that?he went a little beyond the set objectives », recognized Yves Matton, director of Citroën Racing. “Applied from start to finish, he progressed in pure performance, while demonstrating an interesting technical sensitivity. In this context, and in accordance with his program which included two races in the DS3 WRC, he will start the Tour de Corse in the same car. He will thus be able to take advantage of this first experience on asphalt to continue his momentum. »

The reigning JWRC champion, co-driven by Stéphane Prévot, became familiar with all-wheel drive rally cars this year by competing in WRC2, including a category victory at the Monte-Carlo Rally last January.

“It's a rally that will be new for all WRC drivers, but I've competed in it twice with small cars so I know what to expect”, underlined the person concerned. “For me, who comes from the north of France, the profile of Corsican roads is the exact opposite of what I know best! But I can already imagine the pleasure felt with the DS3 WRC on these special stages? I think the main difficulty will be to find the limits of the car on a high-grip surface. I will be going on a little less adventure than last week, especially since I will benefit from a test session to specifically prepare for this meeting. I will try to leave with the positive vibes from Germany, to continue to reduce the gap with the best. »
