WRC – Thierry Neuville approaches Germany with full confidence

His morale and determination are pumped up. After three podiums in a row, in Greece, in Italy then to Finland, Thierry Neuville addresses the Rally from Germany in better shape than ever. The Belgian from Qatar M-Sport WRT is all the more motivated as it will return to asphalt for the first time this season. ?I have more experience on this surface and I feel more confident on it so I really want to finish on the podium, says Ford Fiesta RS driver WRC. BOf course we'll have to wait and see what our speed looks like on the stages, but it might even be possible to fight for victory. » If successful, it would be a first in the World Rally Championship for Saint-Vithois.

“This event can be won or lost in the vineyards, continues Neuville. You need to be clean and gentle with your riding and have a very good setting to be comfortable on the junctions. The special stages are very narrow, which is very difficult on board a WRC. We can't afford to let the car slide otherwise we'll lose too much time. »

Raised in a family from the Belgian German-speaking community not far from where the German Rally will take place this weekend, the Qatar M-Sport WRT resident is particularly looking forward to the fight. “We had several good test drives and were able to try a lot of things, explains Thierry Neuville. Also Nicolas Gilsoul (his co-pilot, Editor’s note) that I myself are impatient for this event, it?s practically a home rally for us! »
