WRC – Tidemand places a WRC2 at the head of the Swedish Rally

Pontus Tidemand put in a great performance by taking the scratch in the Karlstad super special. The local driver distinguished himself at the wheel of his Ford Fiesta RRC by completing the icy 1,9km course in 1'32"1. The Swede took advantage of his advantageous position on the road before the track deteriorated to beat all the crews WRC.

Mads Ostberg (Citroën) is the closest, three tenths behind. Jari-Matti Latvala (VW), Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Andreas Mikkelsen (VW) are less than a second from the benchmark.

Sébastien Ogier (VW) only achieved the seventh fastest time behind Ott Tänak (Ford). But the Frenchman is mainly worried about his position on the road which could be disadvantageous given the conditions.
