On the wet and tricky track of Indianapolis, simon pagenaud achieved a flawless performance both on the track and in strategy to sign his best result of the season. Although he had to settle for second place behind Colton Herta, this place seemed very complex to reach after frustrating qualifying for the Frenchman.
On the starting grid, the Meyer Shank Racing driver was only in 20th place. “ I'm really proud of my team. The rain surprised many drivers on the tracks with many yellow flags. Simon Pagenaud made the right choices and very quickly caught up. “ I'm very grateful that INDYCAR lets us race. « I think it's even more rewarding when it's stressful and you get yourself out of a sticky situation. So definitely one of my best races. » With this 2nd place, Simon Pagenaud returns to 11th place in the championship with 61 points behind the new leader, Will Power.
