A new driver will be installed in the Ferrari 296 GT3 of Risi Competizione at the 12 Hours of Sebring (March 18), second round of the season IMSA.
After Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado at the 24 Hours of Daytona, it is Gabriel Casagrande who will support Daniel Serra and Davide Rigon for the second meeting of this season. The 28-year-old driver especially distinguished himself in his native country, being crowned Brazilian Stock Car champion in 2021.
“The team will be back at Sebring this year as we race to defend the Michelin Endurance Cup in the GTD Pro category with Davide and Daniel, said Giuseppe Risi, Team Principal. We added a young Brazilian rider, Gabriel Casagrande, to ride alongside them. Once again, this year will be a double weekend with the WEC (World Endurance Championship) and we look forward to returning to a special circuit where we have fond memories and victories since our first year of racing in 1998.”
The Texan team will aim for a better result than at Daytona where it was forced to retire due to a damaged floor following an accident.
