Engaged in WEC this season, Cetilar Racing announced its participation in IMSA from 2022. The Italian team will hire a Ferrari 488 GT3s in four events: Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans. We also know the complete crew with Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Antonio Fuoco. For the round at Daytona, Alessio Rovera, winner in GTE-AM with AF Corse a few weeks ago, will join the three drivers.

“The decision to compete in the four most important endurance races in the IMSA championship next year is the result of several factors, explains Roberto Lacorte. The first and most important being the desire to experience a new championship as protagonists. For Cetilar Racing it will be a high-level, stimulating challenge, rich in history, tradition and interest. The 24 Hours of Daytona last January, in which we participated with the LMP2 prototype, was a great experience that left a bitter taste in our mouth. We therefore promised ourselves that we would return and, in doing so, we decided to extend our presence to the other great classics of the American calendar, which we can't wait to face in a very competitive category like GT. I would like to emphasize that our departure is not a farewell to the FIA World Endurance Championship, but only a goodbye. Finally, I warmly welcome Alessio Rovera, an undoubtedly talented young driver, who will join us for the Daytona race.”
