Thanks to a lap completed in 1'11"988 by Helio Castroneves, the No. 07 Oreca 6 of Team Penske set the best time in the fourth and final free practice session at Le Petit Le Mans, closing sleeve of theIMSA SportsCar Championship. The two Nissan Onroak DPi follow by less than a tenth, the #2 of Dalziel-Hartley-Sharp ahead of the #22 of Derani-Senna-Van Overbeek.
The top five is completed by the No. 217 Ligier JS P90 from VisitFlorida Racing and the No. 10 Cadillac DPi-VR from Wayne Taylor Racing.
In GTLM, the Ferrari 488 GTE n°62 of the Risi Competizione of the trio Fisichella-Vilander-Pier Guidi took the advantage thanks to a lap completed in 1'17"497. It precedes the No. 7 Corvette C3.R, the No. 6 BMW M24 GTLM, the No. 7 Corvette C4.R and the No. 66 Ford GT. Note that the nine cars entered are grouped into 0”8.
Very lively since the start of free practice, the No. 8 Land Motorsport Audi R29 LMS climbed to the top of the GTD timesheet. The No. 488 Scuderia Corse Ferrari 3 GT63 and the No. 3 Lexus RCF GT14 follow.
Qualifying will begin at 22:20 p.m. French time.
