Roar Daytona – Free Practice 2: Meyer Shank Racing ahead of Wayne Taylor Racing

The Acuras dominated the first two Free Practice sessions at Roar Daytona, the weekend before the Florida double clock. Indeed, after Ricky Taylor and Wayne Taylor Racing during the first session of the day, the second was dominated by Tom Blomqvist for Meyer Shank Racing in 1'34″351. He beat the second Acura, that of the WTR with Filipe Albuquerque at the wheel, by 0″336. The first Cadillac is the n°01 of Chip Ganassi Racing in 1'34"712, the time achieved by the champion IndyCar Alex Palou.

In LM P2, the reference mark was established by René Rast for G-Drive in 1'35"933, ahead of Fabio Scherer and High Class Racing at 0"376. Malthe Jakobsen set the best time for Sean Creech Motorsport in the LM P3 category in 1'43″006. Matteo Bortolotti was the fastest in GT with the TR3 Racing Lamborghini in 1'46"516, followed at only 0"096 by Raffaele Marciello in the Mercedes of Sun Energy 1, also first GTD in the ranking.
