Currently at Mazda, the American is arriving at the team based in Denver (California) for next season. Tristan Nunez joins Pipo Derani, who will be at the wheel of the #31 Cadillac DPi-VR for the fourth year in a row. The third driver for Gary Nelson's team will be Mike conway who will do the four endurance events. This season, Action Express Racing, which is 19 points behind the leaders of the general classification, still hopes to win the title in the final at Petit Le Mans.
Tristan Nunez did not hide his joy when talking about his arrival in his new team:
“Throughout my entire career, Cadillac has always been the car to beat. I have always admired Action Express Racing's ability to achieve well-deserved victories and great races. This is an important step in my career and I am delighted to take on the challenge. I couldn't be happier to be associated with Pipo Derani. Year after year he has proven himself to be one of the best. Off the track, I think we will have great camaraderie, which I think is a key element to being successful in this sport.”
