Last September, during the Paris Motor Show, Lotus had announced his intention to engage in IndyCar, in GP2, in GP3, and in endurance. For this last discipline the British brand, owned by Proton, is running two programs in parallel.

An LMP2 designed by Paolo Catone should take to the track at the end of 2011, with the aim of participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2012. The Evora GT2 should make its first rounds very soon.

As AUTOhebdo exclusively announced to you at the beginning of October, Jet Alliance Racing has purchased two Evora GT2s.

Owned by Lukas Lichtner-Hoyer, this team will participate in the entire Intercontinental Le Mans Cup in 2011, and therefore in the 24 Hours of Le Mans subject to invitation by the ACO. Note that the Austrian team has already been seen with a Aston Martin DBR9 in Sarthe in 2009 as well as in FIA GT (2006 to 2008) with several victories to boot. No information regarding the drivers at the moment, but the crews should mix Gentlemen drivers and professionals.
