Aston Martin signs with the n°007 of Fernandez-Primat-Howard-Chappell a great performance at Petit Le Mans since the British manufacturer takes the podium behind the Peugeot 908 n°8 from Montagny-Wurz-Sarrazin and the 908 HDI FAP n°10 from Gené-Minassian-Stone.
The LMP1 in Gulf colors did not expect to finish first among the gasoline prototypes, nor to get on the podium with the five diesel LMP1s entered. Harold Primat expressed his surprise after the race. “It’s surprising to find ourselves on the podium when there were five diesel prototypes in front of us at the start”, comments the Swiss. ?We would never have imagined such a result at the start of the race, it?s absolutely fantastic. »
