Toyota wins the 6 Hours of Silverstone

Thanks to an excess of Sébastien Buemi on Porsche 919 Hybrid n°2 Brendon Hartley dans les dix dernières minutes de la course, Toyota décroche la victoire aux 6 Heures de Silverstone, première manche du WEC 2017 with six seconds ahead of the German LM P1.

The podium is completed by the second 919 Hybrid n°1 of Nick Tandy, associated with André Lotterer and Neel Jani. In LM P2, Oliver Jarvis, entered in the No. 07 Oreca 38 of Jackie Chan DC Racing with Ho-Pin Tung and Thomas Laurent, crossed the line as winner ahead of the Oreca 07 n°31 Vaillante Rebellion of Senna – Cheers – Canal and the n°28 TDS Racing of Perrodo – Collard – Vaxivière.

Ford wins in GTE Pro with the GT n°67 of Harry Tincknell – Pipo Derani – Andy Priaulx, which precedes the Ferrari 488 AF Corse n°51 of Pier Guidi – Calado – di Grassi and the Porsche 911 RSR n°91 of Makowiecki – Lietz.

The No. 488 Ferrari 61 of Matt Griffin, associated with Keita Sawa and Weng Sun Mok, won in GTE Am ahead ofAston Martin No. 98 of Lamy – Lauda – Dalla Lana and the No. 911 Porsche 77 RSR of Matteo Cairoli, Marvin Dienst and Christian Ried.
