It is finally Fernando Alonso who set the best time at the end of this second day of private testing on the Jerez circuit. The Spaniard seems to be gradually getting his bearings behind the wheel of his R-29, which he considers to be fast and very easy to drive. With a time of 1'18"343, he is ahead of Rubens Barrichello by 0"055 and Lewis Hamilton a little over a second.
