Fifth in the Spanish Grand Prix, in front of his home crowd, Fernando Alonso carried out a good operation having started from eighth place. He is the first driver behind the two teams currently at the top, Brawn GP and Red Bull. Which earns the double world champion a positive observation:
« This is a good result. We were not very optimistic before the start and we thought we would finish 9th or 10th. I got a good start, though, and gained two positions going into the first corner. The car behaved well during the race, I was able to set competitive and consistent times, and this allowed me to overtake Felipe Massa on the last lap. I think the spectators had a good time watching this Grand Prix. »
